The Swallowtail Butterfly Cotton Jumper

The Swallowtail Butterfly jumper! An oversized jumper, to suit everyone.

Knitted from 100% cotton using the birdseye jacquard technique.

This knitting technique enabled us to create the ombre effect with the motifs and not create large floats (hoops on the inside of the jumper) that could snag easily.

We have created a small number of these jumpers as a one-off limited edition.

This beautiful oversized design is a collaboration with artist, Thom Trojanowski.

" My work focuses on the death of nature, its fragility, mans connectivity with it and then an intertwining with my own experience of being raised as a Polish person, bought up on folk lore, in Wyre Forest, England. New tools of symbolism are created as well as reappropriated characters from the Polish occult alphabet to carry images from the past into the present. Now living in the forest city, Genk, Belgium the natural world and its beauty is a primary source of inspiration. 

I wanted this jumper to be a reflection of the time I often spend on our local ex-coal mine slag heap, Terhill. Nature has reclaimed it and so the the heap now boasts varied fauna, birch and pine trees, a family of Honey Buzzards, some incredible sunset vistas and of course Swallowtail butterflies."
